Steps to Begin Your Business Venture

Starting a business looks a little different in every state. To keep things affordable, apply for your LLC directly through your state’s official government website (most cost around $70).

Annual reporting rules also vary: for example, Arizona LLCs don’t require annual reports, while Corporations, Nonprofits, LPs, LLPs, and LLLPs must submit one to the ACC or Secretary of State.

Pro tip: If you plan to pay yourself through your business, consider electing S-Corp status. It’s a smart move that keeps your compensation legal and tax-efficient.
